The other day, I came across a painting that completely took my by surprise. This is the work of abstract expressionist artist, Cy Twombly, and it’s estimated at £5 - 7 pounds! (that’s between $6 - 10 million dollars!) I’ve haven’t heard of this artist or seen any of his work before, until, I was scrolling on Facebook and just so happened to see this piece featured in an article by Sotheby’s and it made me completely stop scrolling, why? Because it looks so similar to my abstract works!

Perhaps upon looking at her you automatically think Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland and I must admit, that did have a big inspiration on me. I love the craziness that we all have become familiar with about Alice in Wonderland. Did I know what I was going to create when I picked up my brush?

I kinda bullshitted on this painting. I didn’t even do a process video for this one. When I began this piece, I first was messing around with materials and paper just creating scribbles, doodles, and anything. That’s when I heard that voice in my head again tell me “I want to paint”.
